It Was Worth Every Itch

You know how they say, “your hair Is your glory”? It truly Is, because that’s where the shine starts from.

Over three years of creating and exploring, I feel an incredible sense of pride. My hair journey has been an adventurous one, shifting from sleek styles to embracing my natural texture, along with cutting, coloring, and trying bold styles like kinky twists, Bantu knots, and locs. Each phase has helped me discover a new aspect of myself, teaching me to listen to my hair because It fixes everything.

People at school barely remember my old braids from 100L because I have explored so many styles, right from 100l to my finals.  I had to pause and think myself!

Wow!

It’s been a beautiful journey of self-discovery, and I’m loving every minute of it.

I was taken aback when someone asked what culture I belonged to, just because of my hairdo. She asked,

Are you alte or a boho girlie?

And It made me realize- people recognize your uniqueness and what you represent, even In something as minimal as your hairdo.

I don’t have most things figured out but I know I am very intentional about what drives me. I see different arts, styles, ideas and what comes to my mind Is, “How does this work better for me?”

You’re a work In progress. I am also a work in progress.

Be you.

Do you.

Love you.

Accept you.

That’s where the beauty of universality shines through❤️
